About the Application

The system is a web based abstract and paper submission and review system for conferences. It is a combination of Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server which allows authors to submit an abstract or paper to a conference for potential acceptance. The software allows author accounts to be established and the author to submit the proposed abstract through the web. The web interface designates editors who handle the review of the submissions. Editors designate reviews for each paper/abstract. Reviewers handle the review through the web. They enter their decision and comments to the editor and the independent comments to the authors. The editor makes the final decision and the authors are notified. All interactions are handled automatically. The system was developed by Dr. Marc Hoit and Ms. Erica Hughes of the University of Florida, College of Engineering. The system is copyrighted by the University of Florida.
